Changelog
Stay informed about the latest features and improvements at cardcluster. Please also have a look at our Roadmap and vote for the ideas that are most important to you.
Ads
We understand that nobody likes advertising. That's why cardcluster has been ad-free for eight years (!). We still have great plans for cardcluster and want to use this additional form of monetization to achieve these plans more quickly (e.g., expanding to other TCGs).
Starting this year, we are working with an advertising provider that specializes in the gaming sector. This means that, in addition to classic banner ads, you will also regularly see interesting gaming campaigns (e.g., when new games are released).
We are introducing advertising gradually and want to communicate this transparently. Currently, only guests see ads. This means you can simply sign up and see no ads. Just like before!
Just so you know: We may show ads to registered users later on.
Subscribers will of course not see ads under any circumstances. Not even in the future.
Advertising allows us to offer you more features for free, and we will gradually expand this. We are happy to announce that the gallery view for decks is now available to everyone for free!
As always, if you have any questions, we are here for you via email or on our Discord server.Deck Folders
- Pro users can now organise their decks into folders. This feature replaces custom tags, which have been automatically converted into folders. Tags can still be assigned to public decks and we have expanded the selection of tags. You can select a maximum of five tags per deck.
- We have improved the filter in the public deck library. New filters: exclude cards, Side Deck size
- The advanced deck search can now be accessed via a direct link.
2.8
- In Want Lists, the rarity/print can now be changed retrospectively using the "Mass edit" feature. This also works if you edit a card directly.
- For decks, all missing cards can now be added to a Want List with a single click. To do this, hover/click over the Haves display.
- Forbidden cards: Banlists now also have a gallery view.
- Forbidden cards: For retro formats, all playable sets are displayed in the sidebar on the right.
Update 2.7: Retro formats & translations
Translations for all languages
Translations for French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese are now live. Please give us feedback if you notice any errors or inaccuracies in the translations.
Local deck communities
Our goal is for everyone to be able to post decks and comments in their own language. That's why you now have two options when creating a deck:
- Post a deck in your language: The deck will be visible within your community. The community is based on the language you're using.
- Post a deck in English: The deck will be visible everywhere on cardcluster. This way, you can reach the largest possible audience.
My Community). If you change the new setting to All Decks, you will see all decks just as before.
Please note that this feature is primarily relevant to non-English-speaking communities on cardcluster.
Feedback appreciated section
If you would like to have feedback on your deck from the community, there is now a new section under Top Decks. Simply write a short comment under your deck explaining what you need help with. The comment will also be highlighted under Community.
Retro Formats
- The banlist status of Edison and Goat is now displayed on the card page. These decks are also highlighted (similar to Master Duel decks) and can appear on the front page.
- Under Top Decks, you will find a new section for retro formats. We have added 5 formats, but we will be adding more next week.
Update 2.6: Additional Price Data
In addition to the existing prices from Cardmarket and TCGplayer, more data is now available. This gives you an even better idea of a card's actual value!
Cardmarket: Default, AVG, Low, Trend, AVG1, AVG7 and AVG30.
TCGplayer: Default, Low, Mid, High, Market and Direct Low.
You can find more detailed explanations about card prices on the help page: https://help.cardcluster.com/en/collection-manager/card-prices.
New features
- You can select the price data separately for the entire page and for each collection.
- Hover or click on a price to view other price data.
- On the card page graph, you can select multiple price data points at the same time to compare their history. To do this, hover or click on the price next to the graph and select the data points you are interested in.
- The selected time period is now automatically saved and will not reset.
- New period: 2 years
- In the header, you can now see how many cards you have collected and quickly access your current wants list via the heart icon.
Improvements & bug fixes
Collection Manager:
- Filter rarity extended: Filter by holos or non-holos
- New filter: Filter for cards for which we are still missing a picture
- Display of the edition in the list and gallery: The label is now visible if the card is 1st edition or limited edition. On the other hand, the label is hidden if the card is unlimited.
- Settings](/settings/collection-manager): The description now explains that "Hide storage location" also disables deck assignment.
- Cards in other languages now also show the original card name
- The scrolling behavior of the table has been improved. It no longer scrolls the whole page, but only the table content.
- New [Rarities overview](/rarities), which is now also linked in the main menu
- Italian is now available as a beta in the language selection.
- Deviating language abbreviations were not displayed in the collection.
- When adding cards, USD prices were not displayed.
- Sometimes the input in the purchase price field did not work.
- Fixed a bug where the collection view was unintentionally reseted to "List".
French translation (Beta)
French is now available in the language selection and you can try it out. Please note that most of the translation is machine-generated and there may still be inaccuracies.
If you notice anything and have any suggestions on how we can improve, please feel free to submit them in our [translation tool](https://simplelocalize.io/suggestions/?id=5654dbb8b4bd409eb07391db0a7b4704&tab=home).
As a next step, we would like to start a beta for the Italian translation and would appreciate your support!
